Submission Guidelines for Publishing

Determining Whether Your Work Is a Fit for Everfield Press

If you are interested in working with Everfield, it is best to start by familiarizing yourself with our books. We also recommend that you check out our books at your local library or bookstore to get a feel for our tone and style.

At this time, we DO NOT accept single biographies, autobiographies, or memoirs. If your project is in any of these formats, it is not right for us—even if content themes that overlap with those we publish on.

We DO accept :

Fiction or storybooks that build social and emotional skills.
Emotionally enlightening poetry.
Material with religious or New Age content
Non-fiction books with relevant themes.
Self-help books and workbooks for coping with feelings.

Proposals must be sent by e-mail. Please submit materials through our contact form

Before submitting, ask yourself:

NEED: Why is the book needed? How is it different from similar available titles?

PURPOSE: Who will use the book? How will they use it?

QUALITY: Is the project well written and researched? Is the style similar to that of our other titles?

RELEVANCE: Is the subject matter appropriate for our list? Does it compete with or complement other available titles from Everfield Press?

Your submission should include:

A COVER LETTER.

· What is your project?

· What is your intended audience (including ages)?

· What relevant experience or certifications do you have?

YOUR CURRENT RESUMÉ OR CV.

A MARKET ANALYSIS.

· What are some similar titles already in print?

· Why does your project differ from similar works on the market?

· Your promotion plan (including in-person outreach strategies and social media outreach strategies.)

ADDITIONAL INCLUSIONS.

· (For children’s books) your entire text is required.

· (For chapter books) a detailed chapter-by-chapter outline.

· (For chapter books) two or more sample chapters. If a full manuscript is available, you may send it.

· (Optional) art suggestions or illustrations may be included in your application.

While we do our best to offer timely feedback on your project, the high volume of proposals we receive means you should expect a reply within 2 to 6 months.
